With Fyre, you can create wonderful images with your computer. This form of art created with the computer is called computational artwork. The beautiful and complex designs, you can use, for example, as desktop background. Even AVI files from multiple images can be created with this program. In addition, the program includes some additional functions to adjust the resulting images and make them even more beautiful.
Example Images
A series of images that have been created with the program can be found in the Fyre Flickr album.
Operation
Basis of the program is the Peter de Jong map which is based on the following function:
x' = sin(a*y) - cos(b*x)
y' = sin(c*x) - cos(d*y)
For the most values of a, b, c and d, the point x/y moves chaotically. So, it is possible to calculate a map with possibilities showing where the point could be. In Fyre, you can use arbitrary values and have a look at the resulting map or image.
Download
The current versions for Windows and Mac as well as the portable Windows version can be found on the linked download page in one of the blog posts.
