With the free tool RadioRipper, you can store songs from Internet radio stations or from other audio streams as MP3 files on your computer quickly and easily.

A large list of Internet radio stations sorted by genre can be found on the pages of SHOUTcast. If you have decided on a station, you can add it to the RadioRipper and click on the small green icon. The program starts downloading the stream and save the songs as MP3s. Because of the meta information of the stream, the software can split the stream at the right position and save individual files for each song.

The RadioRipper can even record multiple stations simultaneously, if you have a fast Internet connection. RadioRipper supports only streams in MP3 format. The Open Source Tool Streamripper is another radio ripper, which supports OGG Vorbis and MP3 streams, is also free and available for Windows, Linux and Mac.

Note: The download page is German, but the tool is in English language.

I love this software for recording stations out of my country which helps learn the other language. I donated to Mr Alex Nagy in 2008 but the software has somehow forgotten its License key after 6 years. I can't find it anymore, nor can I find a current live website to contact Mr Nagy for a new key. So I get a nag screen popping up about every 20 Minutes that sits on top of my other open windows. What to do? Any Ideas? Please tell :- steveskiby1@blueyonder.co.uk

I love this software, which has allowed me to record mp3 and aac streams in other languages, which helps me to review and learn to speak them. I have been using it from 2009 to 2014, and it now obscures other windows while a box pops up asking me to consider a donation. I would like to to donate, as the program has been very useful to me, but there is no website surviving to donate on. This means I can now rely on work I do in other windows being interrupted frequently, and I feel the need to use another radio utility, which is a shame as this one has been so good.
