The open source SeaMonkey Internet Suite consists of a browser, a mail and newsgroup program, an IRC client and an HTML editor. The compilation is derived from the 2005 all-in-one solution Mozilla Application Suite, which has been split into individual programs such as Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird. Even though SeaMonkey is run as a separate project, it shares much code with Firefox and Thunderbird.
Components
The SeaMonkey browser is called SeaMonkey Navigator.
SeaMonkey Mail & Newsgroups is similar to Thunderbird and serves as a program for e-mail and newsgroups. It contains similar features such as spam filters, an adress book and support of HTML e-mails.
The containing HTML editor is called SeaMonkey Composer that allows you to use the basic HTML functions and create corresponding pages.
Other programs are the SeaMonkey Chatzilla IRC client, the SeaMonkey Add-Ons Manager and the SeaMoney Address Book.
