The free SMPlayer is a complete front-end for the famous MPlayer and therefore it offers the same benefits like this player such as playing DVDs, VCDs, and support of the MPlayer filters. Because like the VLC Media Player, also the MPlayer has all codecs already on board, you can play most video and audio files without having to install any codec before.
