The K-Lite Codec Pack contains many codecs to play audio and video files. After installation, all popular multimedia files should be playable on your computer. This Codec Pack is available in the versions Basic, Standard, Full, Mega and 64-bit. The versions differ in the included codecs and the 64-bit pack includes specific codecs for 64 bit systems.
Differences between Versions
The Basic version contains all codecs to play the most popular formats like AVI, MKV, MP4, FLV, OGM, MPEG, TS, M2TS, MOV, OGG and HDMOV. The Standard, Full, and Mega version contain additional, uncommon codecs and DirectShow filters and media players. For example, these are codecs for lossless audio formats, FLAC, WavPack, or codecs to play DVDs. In the 64-bit version, you get the 64-bit versions of some codecs.
