With HTTrack, you can save a complete website with all of its images, files and HTML on your computer. In the process, the links will be rewritten and changed, so that you can browse the site offline, like you where surfing on this page. With lots of settings, the web crawler HTTrack makes it possible to specify exactly, which files should be downloaded and in which extent the page should be saved. For example, you can include or exclude special file types.

HTTrack can be used as an offline browser for computers without an Internet connection, or you can use the crawler to archive an entire website, for example, before it is turned off.

Special features

Besides the possibility to use a whitelist or a blacklist to include or exclude certain files or pages, the tool offers many other useful features. For example, a stored web site can be automatically updated. In this case, HTTrack is looking for changes and keep the saved site up to date. Furthermore, the software can resume broken downloads and take them up again.

HTTrack can search for the links in the visited Internet sites automatically, so that the program can follow these links to save the complete website. Also JavaScript generated links and links in Flash elements or Java Applets can be notified and followed.

Versions

The program is provided in different versions. The Windows version is called WinHTTrack, which is delivered as installer version and as portable software. The name for Linux, Mac OS X, BSD and Unix is WebHTTrack. In addition, a version for the command line is available.
