Often the volume of different MP3s differs greatly. When you play the songs one by one, with each title you have to adjust the volume to be able to hear all songs with a constant volume
Fortunately, there is MP3Gain. The free and platform-independent tool can adapt or normalize the volume of MP3s to an equal volume.
The program can solve this in two ways. With the first type, the MP3 audio data is not changed. Instead, the rate of volume change is written into the audio file, which can then implemented by appropriate players. The second type directly modifies the audio data. This is completely reversible, because the changes are also written into the file, so that MP3Gain can undo all of the changes later.
The downloads for other systems than Windows are linked from the programs homepage. For Windows, there is also a portable version available.
