PHP is considered as easy to learn, it provides an easy integration of databases such as MySQL and there are many libraries with which you can extend the functionality. The PHP source code is only on the server and it is executed whenever someone calls the specific site. To the browser, only the read-generated documents are delivered. In addition to normal HTML pages, also PDF documents or images can be created with PHP.
PHP is distributed as open source under the homemade PHP license. This license allows free use and modification of the source code, provided certain rules are followed.
