The Tiny Moxiecode Content Editor (TinyMCE) is a free WYSIWYG editor for websites. With the JavaScript-based editor, you can create arbitrary web sites and entries for guest books or forums directly in your browser without having any knowledge of HTML. The user input is carried out via an interface looking like Word and it is translated into HTML Code and displayed in real-time. Thus the user works directly in the ready-formatted page and does not need to worry about the code.

Almost everything from a normal text editor is also available in TinyMCE. Texts can be formatted like you want (font size, font name, bold, italics, underline, paragraphs, bulleted lists and so on), you can insert and optimize images, work with tables, copy texts from Word or edit the CSS formatting directly and much more. You can try an example of the application directly on the homepage of the developer.

If you want to use TinyMCE on your website, blog, forum or guestbook, the user simply have to have a browser that understands JavaScript. More requirements does not exist, even on the server side, you do not have to install something. The functionality of the editor can be adjusted like you want, so you can include it on your homepage with the functions you want.

Also, Drupal, Joomla and WordPress are using this editor.
