Zinf is a free open source player for playback of audio files and audio streams from Internet radio stations (SHOUTcast or Icecast). The program was initially named FreeAmp, but it has to be renamed because of rights to the phrase AMP. Zinf is the short form to Zinf Is Not FreeA*p.
The file formats MP3, OGG Vorbis, WAV and the playback of audio CDs are supported.
Since 2004, no new version of this player has been published. There seems to be little interest to develop and expand this player.
